The company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Security Engineer to protect customer data and the Smartsheet platform.
The role involves supporting development teams in implementing security best practices and ensuring secure applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines, automating security tasks, implementing security alerting, collaborating with various teams, managing cloud security, maintaining documentation, and staying updated on security trends.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in cyber security, particularly in security engineering.
Extensive experience in delivering security solutions across on-prem and cloud environments is required, with AWS experience being a plus.
Experience in conducting security reviews and threat modeling on infrastructure software and services is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Candidates should have experience with network security concepts, including firewalls.
Familiarity with security tooling such as EDR, VPN, vulnerability scanning tools, CSPM, and SIEM is required.
Knowledge of NIST frameworks (800-53, NCF) is a plus.
A basic understanding of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, Docker) is needed.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and their security features is required.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code is a plus.
Candidates should have experience with hardened image builds and deployment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary, along with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or similar are preferred.
