The Security Engineer II - Firewall position at Cyderes involves consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations while representing the Cyderes brand positively.
The role is crucial for the development of the Firewall Engineering service and includes onboarding and configuration lifecycle management to help customers address emerging security threats.
Responsibilities include guiding the engineering design, analysis, implementation, and support of security technologies.
The engineer will research, design, and implement cybersecurity firewall solutions.
The role also involves driving the review and update of cybersecurity policies, architectures, and standards.
The engineer will respond to audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.

Requirements:

Candidates must have extensive experience with firewall platforms such as Fortinet and Cisco.
Extensive experience with KQL is required.
The role requires ensuring that alerts generated by the SIEM are relevant and applicable to the customer's environment.
Candidates must be able to liaise directly with customers for new use cases.
Experience in creating LogicApps and automated responses for security incidents is necessary.
A solid understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework is required.
Candidates should have experience working within a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) environment.
Microsoft Certifications such as SC-200 are preferred.
