Description:
The Security Engineer II will be part of 6sense’s Security Operations and Threat Management team, responsible for protecting the organization through prevention, detection, investigation, and response to security events and threats.
The role involves identifying and responding to security incidents by conducting continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and log analysis.
The engineer will coordinate with various teams, including vendors, Infrastructure, Engineering, IT, GRC, Cloud, and Application Security, to validate alerts and ensure incident resolution.
A proactive threat landscape review will be conducted to monitor security and identify potential issues impacting 6sense.
The position requires tuning detection rules in deployed security solutions to address evolving threat scenarios.
The engineer will administer security tools and build basic automation to enhance the efficiency of the Security Team.
Current security trends, advisories, publications, and academic research will be integrated into daily practices.
Opportunities for process automation will be identified and maintained.
The engineer will execute quarterly individual Key Results that support team Objectives (OKRs).
Proactive monitoring of deployed security solutions will be carried out to ensure proper operation.
A security playbook for different threat scenarios will be created and published.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Security Operations or similar team is required.
Experience with security tools and cloud environments, such as Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, SOAR, and AWS, is essential.
Knowledge of industry frameworks, regulations, and standards, including MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, PASTA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, SOX, and NIST, is necessary.
Familiarity with AI for cybersecurity is highly desirable.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Relevant industry certifications, such as CSA, GCDA, GSOC, or CySA, are advantageous.
