Remote Security Engineer - New York

Description:

• The Security Engineer at Tenable will be responsible for identifying and aligning technology opportunities with customer business issues and objectives.
• They will assist in creating business value propositions related to Tenable Network Security products and solutions.
• The role involves driving sales through technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and a strong customer focus.
• The Security Engineer will participate in a sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Responsibilities include delivering technical presentations and demos of Tenable Enterprise products, managing software trials and evaluations, answering technical questions, and providing security and compliance expertise.
• They will demonstrate how to use Tenable products to potential customers, execute product evaluations against customer requirements, maintain current customer relationships, and potentially contribute to new product concepts.
• The role also involves providing status reports on territory trends, upcoming events, follow-up activities, and goal adherence.

Requirements:

• Experience with Nessus or other network scanning technologies is required.
• Solid foundational knowledge of TCP/IP and network security concepts is necessary.
• Familiarity with Redhat Enterprise Server at the command-line level is essential.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI, FISMA, SOX, and NERC is required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas and products in a consultative style are necessary.
• Understanding of specific customer service standards and procedures is important.
• Detailed knowledge of Tenable Products is a must.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement various sales programs is required.
• The candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of accurate work with minimal supervision.
• A Bachelor’s Degree, 5-7 years of direct SE experience, and CISSP certification are necessary for this role.

• The position offers a competitive base pay range of $106,000—$145,333.33 USD, with compensation depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
