Remote Security Engineer (Remote, US)

Description:

• Provide security expertise and guidance within the company.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce company-wide security policies.
• Actively monitor systems for security breaches and intrusions, developing tools to prevent attacks and maintain network integrity.
• Assess and address security vulnerabilities in applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Automate creation, testing, and remediation of base container images.
• Promote a security-oriented culture within the development team.
• Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Manage and resolve security incidents, providing guidance on policy and technical security matters.
• Obtain and maintain relevant security certifications.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience in application and cloud infrastructure security.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with containerization, preferably Docker.
• Familiarity with security frameworks/standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, CCPA, GDPR, and OWASP.
• Proficiency in utilizing AWS security services and other security tools.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and core Internet protocols.
• Solid software engineering background with expertise in programming languages.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
