Description:
Wealthsimple is seeking a Security Incident Response Developer to enhance their security incident response capabilities.
The role involves building relationships with partners, developing response playbooks, and automating actions.
The candidate will be part of a new team that influences the Security Incident Response program.
Responsibilities include acting as Incident Commander to resolve incidents and collaborating with Security Developers to monitor and expand SIEM and SOAR platforms.
The role requires conducting post mortem meetings to share root cause analysis findings and improve the organization's security posture.
The candidate will create detection logic to identify anomalies and reduce future incidents.
Coordination with Fraud and Privacy teams to investigate potential fraudulent and sensitive activities is also required.
Participation in an on-call rotation for responding to security incidents and providing operational support is expected.
Requirements:
The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in the Cybersecurity domain.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Incident Manager, with ownership of investigations, is required.
The ability to lead a team during high-stress situations and provide direction and support is essential.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, along with good judgment under pressure, are necessary.
Experience in developing response playbooks and courses of action is required.
Excellent collaboration skills and enthusiasm for working in a multi-discipline environment are important.
Some scripting ability in Python or Bash is needed.
Experience in building detections and managing SIEM alerts is required.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure is necessary.
The candidate should value honesty, transparency, and inclusivity in communication with stakeholders.
A willingness to learn from the team and contribute to each other's success is essential.
