Description:

  • Wealthsimple is seeking a Security Incident Response Lead to enhance their security incident response capabilities.
  • The role involves building relationships with Engineering teams, creating new playbooks, and identifying opportunities for automation.
  • The candidate will be responsible for mentoring others in Incident Response to support the program and ensure consistent outcomes.
  • The position includes taking on the role of Incident Commander to resolve incidents effectively.
  • The individual will help shape investment direction by providing insights on trends and relevant metrics.
  • Collaboration with Security Engineers is essential to monitor, refine, and expand SIEM and SOAR platforms.
  • The role requires coordination with Fraud and Privacy teams to investigate potential fraudulent and sensitive activities.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation for responding to security incidents and providing operational support is expected.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Security domain is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Incident Manager, demonstrating ownership of investigations is necessary.
  • The candidate must understand how to analyze data using a SIEM to differentiate between noise and signals.
  • Some scripting ability in languages such as Python or Bash is required.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure is essential.
  • The candidate should value honesty, transparency, and inclusivity in communication with stakeholders.
  • Good judgment under pressure is crucial for technical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A willingness to learn from the team and contribute to each other's success is important.
