Description:
Wealthsimple is seeking a Security Incident Response Lead to enhance their security incident response capabilities.
The role involves building relationships with Engineering teams, creating new playbooks, and identifying opportunities for automation.
The candidate will be responsible for mentoring others in Incident Response to support the program and ensure consistent outcomes.
The position includes taking on the role of Incident Commander to resolve incidents effectively.
The individual will help shape investment direction by providing insights on trends and relevant metrics.
Collaboration with Security Engineers is essential to monitor, refine, and expand SIEM and SOAR platforms.
The role requires coordination with Fraud and Privacy teams to investigate potential fraudulent and sensitive activities.
Participation in an on-call rotation for responding to security incidents and providing operational support is expected.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Security domain is required.
At least 2 years of experience as an Incident Manager, demonstrating ownership of investigations is necessary.
The candidate must understand how to analyze data using a SIEM to differentiate between noise and signals.
Some scripting ability in languages such as Python or Bash is required.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure is essential.
The candidate should value honesty, transparency, and inclusivity in communication with stakeholders.
Good judgment under pressure is crucial for technical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
A willingness to learn from the team and contribute to each other's success is important.
