Description:

Supabase is an open-source, fully remote company focused on building developer tools for Postgres, currently managing over 3 million database instances in production.
The company is hiring a Security Operations Engineer to act as the frontline guardian of their cloud platform, transforming raw alerts into resolved issues and ensuring security across all teams.
Responsibilities include owning inbound security triage by monitoring and sorting various security reports and requests, managing and improving security tooling, driving incident response and follow-through, keeping security signals healthy, supporting compliance and assurance initiatives, and championing security culture within the organization.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, CERT, or a similar on-call/triage environment for a cloud-native product company.
Familiarity with bug-bounty platforms (HackerOne, Bugcrowd), compliance tooling (Vanta, Drata), ticketing/CRM systems (HubSpot, Jira), and at least one log/SIEM stack is required.
A process-oriented mindset with a strong ability to follow up and turn chaos into organized checklists is essential.
Clear and empathetic communication skills are necessary to translate security jargon into actionable items for developers and updates for customers.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of common frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or related standards.
Comfort in an async-first, globally distributed team environment is important, with a focus on transparency and effective triage across time zones.
Nice to have skills include hands-on scripting for automation, experience with threat-intel feeds, and prior work in a high-volume bug-bounty program.
