Description:
The position is for a Security Operations Engineer working full-time from home in the Philippines.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM AEST.
The role requires managing and securing customer environments while delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities include providing L2 support, troubleshooting customer issues within agreed SLAs, and adhering to Incident, Security, Problem, and Change Management processes according to ITIL Framework.
The engineer will create and maintain technical guides for customer environments and provide escalated support from service desk teams and customers.
The role involves administering security solutions, responding to incidents, and managing vulnerability programs for customers.
The engineer will hold periodic customer meetings and presentations regarding operational activities.
The position requires monitoring security, responding to incidents, managing threats, and driving vulnerability management programs for customers.
The engineer will work with operating systems such as Windows and Linux and have a basic understanding of networking.
Requirements:
A degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience in Security Operations is mandatory.
Experience in managing and configuring security solutions, including End Point Security, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, IAM, Security Awareness, and Application Whitelisting solutions is necessary.
Knowledge of Security Frameworks such as ASD Essential 8 and NIST is required.
Experience with ITSM tools and documentation, specifically ServiceNow and Confluence, is essential.
The candidate must have experience in security monitoring, incident response, threat management, and vulnerability management.
General awareness of infrastructure and networking is required.
The role requires operational experience in Security Solutions Implementation.
The candidate should have experience interacting with customers regularly.
Certifications in Cybersecurity and experience in an MSP environment are considered a plus.
Experience in supporting Global Operations is also a plus.
