Description:

As a Security Operations Engineer, you will drive and execute critical security initiatives and manage day-to-day security operations.
You will collaborate with the Lead Security Engineer to ensure systems monitor, detect, and respond to security threats.
This role is foundational to the company's commitment to security and stability, offering high impact and career growth potential in a remote environment.
Responsibilities include managing the Security Operations Center (SOC), designing and implementing security policies, and conducting security audits.
You will oversee security for SaaS tools, manage security incidents, and stay current with emerging threats and technologies.
The position requires a collaborative partner who enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership of security initiatives.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience in security operations or a related security engineering role.
A proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on security initiatives is essential.
Strong technical expertise in security operations, threat detection, incident response, and cloud security is required.
Proficiency in security automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash is necessary.
Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), including SSO and directory services, is needed.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) focusing on security configuration and incident response is important.
Deep knowledge of SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools is required.
Familiarity with application security tools and practices, as well as experience with security tooling (EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, WAF), is necessary.
A strong understanding of network security and architecture is essential.
You should have the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams and possess strong organizational and project management skills.
