Description:
The Security Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales) will lead technical pre-sales activities, driving business opportunities from opportunity identification through booking.
This role requires collaboration in a dynamic team environment to achieve outcomes and revenue targets.
The engineer will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, building credibility and rapport with client technical teams.
Establishing productive relationships with clients is essential, serving as a trusted advisor to optimize their cybersecurity strategy.
The engineer will identify, qualify, and close new opportunities through technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and exceptional client focus.
They must demonstrate the ability to identify clients’ business problems and effectively design, communicate, and evangelize cybersecurity solutions.
The role involves quickly grasping new technologies and developing solutions that integrate new technologies with existing cybersecurity tools and services.
Delivering technical presentations and/or cybersecurity solution demos to clients and partners is a key responsibility.
Building and maintaining relationships with technical resources at all levels of the client organization is crucial.
The engineer will build strategic business relationships and become a trusted advisor within assigned client agencies to identify opportunities for cybersecurity solutions and services.
Leveraging partner alliance relationships to increase opportunity identification is expected.
Identifying opportunities where existing client products/tools can be leveraged to develop solutions that provide additional features and capabilities is part of the role.
Developing white papers and knowledge base articles as needed is also required.
Providing thought leadership in security requirements, methodologies, techniques, and tools to reduce the client’s cybersecurity risk posture is essential.
Requirements:
A strong understanding of enterprise cybersecurity and broad knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technology domains is required.
Demonstrated experience in selling cybersecurity solutions to clients is necessary.
Direct professional experience managing pipeline and bookings based on sales targets is essential.
A strong working knowledge of enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions and their integration into client environments to solve business challenges is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to listen to client needs and recommend solutions are necessary.
A thorough understanding of product licensing nuances is required.
The candidate must be flexible, dependable, a self-starter, and have a desire for continuous learning.
Excellent presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business terms, are essential.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Experience with market research in developing potential solution offerings is necessary.
Preferred Skills:
A broad knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technology areas, including vulnerability management, threat detection, identity and access management, and infrastructure and cloud services platforms is preferred.
Technical certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP/CCSP, CISA, or ISACA are preferred.
Benefits:
The salary will be commensurate with years of experience, technical expertise, and geographic location, with a salary range of $150,000 to $200,000.
