Description:
An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is looking for a Group Lead/Architect for the IDS/IPS team.
The organization has been on the market since 2009, and its products are used by thousands of companies worldwide.
You will work on the fastest-growing product, providing automated kernel security updates without reboots for popular Linux distributions.
The group is focused on IDS/IPS based solutions, and as the leader, you will significantly impact the Imunify next-generation security product.
Your responsibilities include reviewing and driving long-term technical direction, being involved in architecture, design, and coding.
You will build up the team, recruit talented individuals, and guide them to excellence using your experience.
The product technology stack is diverse, ranging from low-level C code to cloud services, AI algorithms, and Python expertise.
You will work to scope and plan key deliverables with business stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful delivery.
Your role includes optimizing the organizational structure for fast and reliable deliveries and fostering a collaborative culture.
You will own the technical output of the IDS/IPS team, ensuring high technical standards through processes like technical design, code reviews, testing, and rollout.
You will also strengthen the department culture, promoting a hacker mentality, agility, and engineering excellence.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software development in the security field, preferably in networking, cyber security methodologies, AppSec, denial-of-service attacks, and API threats.
Deep domain knowledge and hands-on capabilities in security areas are required.
Extensive hands-on experience in Linux, particularly with popular distributions such as CentOS and Debian, is necessary.
Excellent leadership, collaborative management practices, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Candidates should foster a team culture and practice mentorship and collaboration.
Collaboration with the team to determine and implement the company's values, vision, and strategic goals is expected, along with executing change initiatives.
A minimum English proficiency of B2 is required.
Participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) events will be considered a plus.
