Description:
An international company specializing in the development of modern operating systems for hosting providers is looking for a Lead Security Engineer to join its team.
The company has designed a number of products for web-hosting and has over 4,500 clients including Dell, GoDaddy, IBM, and Zoom.
Over 40 million websites worldwide are hosted on their servers.
Founded in 2009 in California, San Jose, the company now has more than 250 professionals from Europe and the USA.
The products are used by thousands of companies globally, and the role involves working on the fastest-growing product that provides automated kernel security updates without reboots for popular Linux distributions.
This is a fully remote position with flexible hours, allowing you to plan your day and work from anywhere in the world.
Responsibilities include hands-on coding and development of IDS/IPS solutions, contributing to the architecture and design of next-generation security products, maintaining high technical standards, driving the long-term technical direction of IDS/IPS solutions, collaborating with development teams and business stakeholders, and serving as a technical authority for the IDS/IPS team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on C/C++, particularly in security fields such as Networking, Cybersecurity, AppSec, Denial-of-Service attacks, API threats, and Application Firewalls.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with low-level C code, cloud services, AI algorithms, and Python is required.
Strong expertise in Linux (CentOS, Debian, or similar distributions) and extensive hands-on experience with security protocols is essential.
Proven ability to design, build, and implement security solutions with minimal supervision is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a highly technical environment and have a passion for solving complex security challenges.
Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher is required.
Experience participating in CTF (Capture the Flag) competitions will be considered a plus.
