Remote Senior 3D/CAD Software Engineer Generalist

Description:

• Dandy is seeking a Senior 3D/CAD Software Engineer Generalist to join their team.
• The role involves working on 3D and CAD tools to support the creation of custom dental prosthetic designs.
• Responsibilities include developing interactive 3D tools, solving organic modeling problems, expanding and maintaining web and server-side 3D design tools, writing XML file parsing and generation code, and managing 3D asset libraries in a cloud setting.
• The position requires contributing to innovative 3D algorithms, building tooling for novel manufacturing processes, and collaborating with the 3D and CAD team.

Requirements:

• Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in application development.
• Strong proficiency in either javascript/typescript, C++, or python is required.
• Familiarity with UI frameworks like React, Qt, or Angular is necessary.
• Experience with transforms, camera matrices, and 3D mesh operations is essential.
• Candidates should have a background in building 3D viewers, configurators, CAD, or CAM applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Desired qualities include being impact-driven, independently motivated, and having a low ego for objective collaboration.
• Bonus points for front-end web skills, back-end or cloud skills, experience with WebGL or 3D web ecosystems, and strong hands-on experience with modeling applications.
