Description:

Sonatype is seeking a Senior Account Executive for the West Coast, specifically in Kansas City, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City.
The role involves working closely with Account Development representatives to identify new sales opportunities and sell Sonatype’s suite of Nexus products.
The Senior Account Executive will communicate Sonatype’s value proposition to increase sales and expand existing customer relationships.
Responsibilities include delivering lead generation to Fortune 1000 accounts through target account selling, outbound cold calling, and managing inbound leads.
The position requires managing the sales pipeline within Salesforce and collaborating with ADRs and presales engineers to close business.
The role also involves working with field marketing to create events aimed at driving new prospects and advancing existing opportunities.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, particularly focused on acquiring new logos.
Successful experience in the Agile, DevOps, Open Source, or Enterprise Software sectors is required.
Applicants should have experience in building regional account plans and developing new relationships that lead to customer acquisition.
Familiarity with selling in the territories of Kansas City, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City is essential.
A BS or BA degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
Experience in a startup software organization and an understanding of the DevOps and/or Application Security industry is a plus.
