Remote Senior Accounts Receivable Data Specialist

Description:

• Motive is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Data Specialist to join its Billing/Collections team in a remote capacity.
• The role involves supporting the processing and reporting of global financial billing and collections results.
• Responsibilities include enabling timely financial close and collections analysis through data analytics and visualization.
• The specialist will build reporting and dashboards using tools such as Excel SQL, Tableau, Redash, Salesforce, Zuora, and Genesys.
• The position requires creating reports, models, and ad hoc analysis to assist management in evaluating the impact of decisions on short and long-term plans.
• Monthly and quarterly management reporting, including executive-level forecast vs. actuals and dashboards, will be part of the duties.
• The role includes preparing external materials like quarterly financials and key metric datasets.
• Conducting monthly forecast vs actual variance analyses to share results and insights with business partners is essential.
• The specialist will wrangle large datasets into actionable insights and become the data expert for Billing/Collections.
• Support for the broader Billing/Collections team with planning activities is expected.
• The role involves performing analysis, identifying trends, conducting research, and building visualizations to meet stakeholder needs.
• Implementing anomaly detection for automated billing and payments activity to identify potential misstatements in financial results is required.
• The specialist will drive cross-functional projects, primarily partnering with Revenue and Accounting.
• Investigating the root cause of system breakages and driving resolutions is part of the job.
• The role includes driving process improvement and automation across functions.
• Creating, maintaining, and reviewing complex financial models in Excel/Google Sheets is necessary.
• Developing testing strategies and conducting A/B testing for insights analysis will be part of the responsibilities.
• Competitive benchmarking analysis and other key financial metrics will also be developed.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant finance and/or industry experience is required.
• Candidates must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output.
• The role requires an independent self-starter who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, with proven experience in cultivating collaborative relationships across teams.
• Candidates should have strong knowledge of Excel and experience working with large datasets from multiple sources.
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders is essential.
• A self-motivated individual with a history of taking on challenging projects and producing results is preferred.
• A solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices and identifying improvement opportunities is required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Intermediate or advanced SQL proficiency is required.
• Excellent modeling and forecasting skills are essential.
• Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Zuora and expertise in Salesforce are considered a plus.
• A Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with CPA being a plus.
