Remote Senior AEM Back End Developer (Contract)

Description:

• Our industry-recognized Adobe engineering team is seeking a proactive, collaborative Senior AEM Back-End Developer to lead custom platform development for enterprise-level customers.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to solve complex challenges while working in a distributed environment.
• You will lead development for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
• You will contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle and understand the entire software development process from design to development to deployment to maintenance.

• The position requires minimal supervision, providing oversight for assigned projects and getting things done without being micromanaged.
• You will work fast with an attention to detail within a fast-paced work environment with hard deadlines.
• You will write well-designed, testable, efficient code and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• You will provide constructive feedback in code reviews and help others to become better developers.
• You will prepare and produce releases of software components and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies.

Requirements:

• A BS/MS degree, bootcamp graduate, or equivalent self-education is preferred.
• You must have 5+ years of professional hands-on AEM development experience.
• Experience in building sites using AEM Cloud Service or AEM 6.5 is required.
• Proficiency with AEM, Java, and Sling is necessary.
• A solid understanding of systems design, caching, and persistence is essential.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and consulting skills are required.
• Familiarity with modern programming architecture is preferred.
• Experience working with Agile development, preferably SCRUM, and Unit Testing is necessary.
