BioRender is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to help accelerate the world’s ability to discover, learn, and communicate science through visuals.
The role involves building full-stack solutions and integrating AI into every layer of the product to create production-ready features.
Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, designers, and data scientists to leverage AI for enhanced user experiences.
The engineer will rapidly prototype AI-driven features and productionize them into the core product to aid scientists in communication.
The position requires serving as an AI evangelist, experimenting with the latest AI models and techniques, and sharing insights with the engineering team.
The engineer will take end-to-end ownership of key components of the codebase, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability of both traditional and AI-powered features.
Creative problem-solving in ambiguous environments is essential, as is the ability to develop innovative solutions that enhance the product.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a genuine curiosity about AI and a passion for exploring emerging tools and applying them in real-world projects.
A minimum of 7 years of full-stack development experience is required, with a proven track record of building products from concept to production.
Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., ReactJS), NodeJS/ExpressJS, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) is necessary.
Experience with Python and machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is essential.
Familiarity with modern tools for developing and deploying LLMs, as well as monitoring and experimenting with them in production, is required.
Candidates must be creative problem solvers who thrive in ambiguous environments and can tackle challenges in both standard product features and advanced AI functionalities.
A willingness to mentor and collaborate with peers, sharing knowledge and helping others adopt AI best practices, is important.
