• Save My Exams is a rapidly growing EdTech business seeking an ambitious Senior AI Engineer to join their Engineering team.
• The company has up to 2 million monthly active users and is on track to reach 160,000 paying members while being bootstrapped and profitable.
• The role offers a unique opportunity to develop an exciting EdTech product that aims to disrupt a $7 trillion market by improving the lives of millions of students.
• The Engineering team consists of 12 Engineers across 3 product squads, and the Senior AI Engineer will work across all squads, reporting directly to the Lead AI Engineer.
• The ideal candidate enjoys building solutions that help students, has an experiment-first mindset, and is knowledgeable about current AI models and developments.
• Responsibilities include experimenting with modern AI techniques, managing a roadmap of initiatives, creating deliverables for product integration, managing AI tool risks, understanding the business and students, and collaborating across teams.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have strong professional experience in developing products that solve real user problems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• A user-centric attitude and a sense of responsibility for the product and code delivered to students are essential.
• A test-and-learn mindset is necessary for this role.
• Candidates should have an understanding of the risks associated with developing AI products.
• Nice-to-haves include in-depth experience with LLMs or generative AI, operational experience in hosting and maintaining AI models, web development experience (TypeScript, Next.js, React, Express, Postgres), and experience in the EdTech space or education in general.
