CareMessage is a technology non-profit focused on improving health equity for low-income populations in the United States.
The organization is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their data team and work on projects that leverage AI and machine learning in healthcare.
The role involves designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and AI systems to enhance decision-making across the platform.
The engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify problems, design solutions, preprocess data, build and test models, and deploy them into production.
The position aims to analyze patient interactions to extract actionable insights and create intelligent systems for measurable improvements.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer with a focus on healthcare applications.
Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and others is required.
A strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning, is essential.
Proven experience applying ML techniques to healthcare data, particularly with natural language processing, Generative AI, and large language models, is necessary.
Hands-on experience in training, tuning, and deploying models in production environments is required, including advanced prompting techniques and fine-tuning LLMs.
Familiarity with deploying machine learning models in cloud environments, preferably GCP, AWS, or Azure, is needed.
Candidates should have expertise in building and scaling end-to-end machine learning pipelines and familiarity with MLOps practices.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are essential.
Strong expertise in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques is required.
The ability to translate business requirements into machine learning model specifications is necessary.
