Description:
The Senior Analytics Engineer will be responsible for building data pipelines and data models to provide insights to corporate stakeholders.
Collaborate with data analysts and data architects to design and implement proper data models for downstream usage.
Act as a champion for data quality and usability across the organization.
Write, clean, and maintain SQL/Python queries/scripts for data processing.
Automate testing of data models and monitor their quality.
Provide technical leadership on forward-looking data solutions.
Continuously improve the data pipeline and adopt software engineering best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
Requirements:
Proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis.
Ability to break down complex projects into smaller stories.
Experience with MPP data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery) and data orchestrator (e.g., cloud composer).
Understanding of industry-standard design patterns for data warehouse data models.
Familiarity with cloud environments (especially GCP) and containerization solutions.
Experience with source control using Git, CI/CD pipelining, and writing automated tests.
Security mindset with knowledge of compliances like GDPR and SOX.
