Remote Senior Analytics Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Analytics Engineer position at Calendly involves developing data models built for the present and future, focusing on reliability and performance, and being a team player.
• The role includes residing on the Analytics Engineering (AE) team, building robust and scalable analytical insights using Google's BigQuery and dbt.
• Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining enterprise data models to support Calendly's growth, ensuring data accuracy and consistency, and delivering high-quality data assets for data-driven decisions.
• The Senior Analytics Engineer will work on creating business value from various data sources, architecting the analytics layer in the data warehouse, collaborating with business leaders and analysts, managing data transformations, and identifying opportunities for data model optimization.
• The role involves technically guiding and influencing the AE team and mentoring team members.

Requirements:

• Expert analytical SQL skills with a focus on detail and data accuracy, with experience in another analytical language like R or Python being a bonus.
• Ownership of a dbt project following engineering best practices, including data quality tests and unit tests.
• Experience using a version control system like GitHub, with additional experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines being advantageous.
• Proficiency in data modeling to meet business stakeholders' needs and diagnose data issues proactively.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship.
