Remote Senior Analytics Engineer, Data Warehouse Architect

Description:

• Vanta is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their Data and Analytics team.
• The role involves laying the foundation for a best-in-class analytics function.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing complex data models, building reports and dashboards, and creating reporting tools for data science and ML product users.
• The engineer will design and deploy data infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making solutions.
• The position requires expertise in dbt and being a technical thought leader in developing scalable data systems.
• The engineer will develop front-end applications to expose analytical data sets across the enterprise.
• Writing highly tuned, scalable SQL queries over large-scale, heterogeneous data warehouses is a key task.
• Collaboration with Product and Enterprise Engineering system teams is necessary to structure source systems for reporting consumption.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least four years of experience working with data and two years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with common analytics tools is required, including dbt, Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow/Dagster, and Looker/Mode/Sigma.
• A system-oriented and software engineering mindset is essential for the Data Engineering practice.
• Candidates should have deep knowledge of crafting dimensional and fact models in modern data fashion.
• Technical Architecture leadership experience is needed, particularly in owning a reporting mart and influencing the development of a maintainable data warehouse architecture.
• Leading the logical architecture process for building out a centralized data warehouse is also a requirement.
