Description:

  • Devtech is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join their Global Services Unit in a remote, full-time position.
  • The role involves creating and maintaining high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing user interfaces that adhere to Android design principles, connecting applications to back-end services via RESTful APIs, and enhancing application performance with a focus on memory, CPU, GPU, and battery optimization.
  • The developer will implement and manage offline databases like SQLite, Realm, and Room to ensure data persistence and availability.
  • Active participation in company-wide knowledge-sharing efforts and promotion of security, quality, and knowledge-sharing culture is expected.
  • The position requires creatively solving problems from a broad perspective to detailed implementation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of demonstrated professional experience in mobile development.
  • Extensive knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with Java and/or Kotlin is required.
  • An in-depth understanding of the Android SDK, including UI design principles, patterns, and best practices, is essential.
  • Experience with NDK development using C/C++ is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to back-end services is necessary.
  • Experience with offline databases such as SQLite, Realm, and Room is required.
  • A strong understanding of threading, multithreading, and optimizing performance for memory, CPU, GPU, and battery is essential.
  • Candidates should have a solid grasp of networking concepts, including Subnet, VPN, IPSEC, SSL, and DNS.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level applications is required.
  • Proficiency in using code versioning tools, particularly GIT, is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
