Remote Senior Android Developer (E-Wallet Product, Fully Remote)

Description:

• The position is for a Senior Android Developer focused on the development of innovative mobile wallet applications.
• This is a fully remote, long-term contract role based in Greece, requiring a valid EU Work Permit.
• The developer will report to the CTO and will be part of a team dedicated to secure digital identities and mobile driving licenses.
• Responsibilities include designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, conducting thorough unit and UI tests, staying updated with technology trends, and evaluating new technologies for development efficiency.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in Android development with strong knowledge of Kotlin.
• At least 1-2 years of experience with Android Jetpack components is necessary.
• Proficiency in Android SDK and experience with different versions of Android and screen sizes is required.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries for mobile application integration is essential.
• Candidates should have experience with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications is required.
• A solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle is necessary.
• Expertise in implementing security frameworks and ensuring compliance with data encryption standards is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
• Experience in problem analysis and delivering end-to-end (E2E) solutions will be highly appreciated.
