Remote Senior Android Developer, Mobile Platform

Description:

• Work as a Senior Android Developer on the Mobile Platform team at theScore, a leading sports media and betting company.
• Collaborate with a team of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to create top-tier mobile apps.
• Focus on enhancing the mobile experience by providing a strong foundation for mobile clients on both iOS and Android.
• Engage in architectural design, code shipping, refactoring, and implementing modern design patterns.
• Contribute to improving the Android development community at theScore through collaboration and innovation.
• Build tools, patterns, and infrastructure to streamline and enhance mobile development.
• Address challenges related to large data sets, responsive UIs, and app performance optimization.
• Assist in automating testing, continuous integration, and maintaining the mobile CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with Kotlin and 5+ years in commercial Native Android development.
• Proficiency in delivering clean, organized, testable, and high-performing code.
• Strong understanding of Android Architecture Principles, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection.
• Skilled in profiling, troubleshooting, and optimizing app performance.
• Experience integrating APIs and back-end services, writing Unit and UI tests, and working with Git.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, software development principles, design patterns, and concurrency best practices.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Passion for sports and/or gaming is a plus.
