Remote Senior Android Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Android Engineer will work on implementing Henry's design system for a customer portal using Jetpack.
• They will integrate architectural patterns specifically for Android, making decisions on internal Google libraries and third-party libraries.
• Develop a feature flag and testing system for the Android platform to ensure smooth functionality and better control of features.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing teams.
• Assist in driving the team's testing strategy, success metrics observability, and codebase best practices.
• Triage and prioritize platform issues for incorporation into the roadmap.
• Champion the strategic direction and architectural vision of the Android platform.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Prioritize and manage the Android platform backlog, making strategic decisions on issue triage, prioritization, and grooming.
• Set the standard for code reviews and engineering processes.
• Lead Android prototyping for new HenryMeds features.

Requirements:

• Mastery of Android frameworks like Jetpack Compose.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Espresso.
• Commitment to writing tests for all code changes.
• Solid CS fundamentals background.
• Proficiency in refactoring code with architectural patterns like MVVM.
• Track record of technical leadership and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Experience advocating architecture improvements to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Experience with reactive programming frameworks like Combine.
• Start-up and/or digital health experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Firebase, Google (GCP), Espresso, HIPPA, and/or SOC2.
