mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers.
The company is building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app, and online, while consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will have a direct impact on customer payment experiences and contribute to the development of the Android app and features roadmap used by merchants and customers across Australia.
The engineering excellence of the app is prioritized, focusing on both technical foundation and user experience.
The app is developed using Kotlin, with frequent updates to stay at the forefront of technology.
A seamless user interface is achieved through Jetpack Compose, with collaboration facilitated through Figma and Material Design.
The architecture is clean and modular, employing Koin Dependency Injection, Coroutines, and Jetpack WorkManager.
Close collaboration with other engineering teams is maintained to establish well-defined APIs.
Tools used include KSP, KotlinPoet, Ktor, Paparazzi, Github Actions, Firebase Crashlytics, and Snowflake.
The app meets high-security standards, targeting a minimum Android SDK version of 23 to ensure compatibility with modern devices.
This is a remote-first position that can be performed from anywhere within Australia.

Requirements:

You must have solid experience developing large-scale Android apps using Kotlin.
Experience with Jetpack Compose is required.
You should have experience with Coroutines.
Unit and UI Testing experience is necessary.
Familiarity with Dependency Injection is essential.
Networking knowledge is required.
You must have knowledge and application of secure coding practices.
Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps is expected.
