Description:

Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior Android Mobile App Developer to join their team, working remotely from Colombia or Costa Rica.
The role involves designing and building applications for the Android platform while providing architectural leadership to the team and clients.
The developer will collaborate with an agile team to build, maintain, and optimize client applications.
Responsibilities include mentoring fellow developers and working closely with UI/UX design, product ownership, and back-end teams.
Proficient English communication skills are required, along with good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of mobile application development experience.
A minimum of 4+ years of native Android app development experience using Java and/or Kotlin is necessary.
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is required.
A strong understanding of common architectural patterns, including MVVM, is essential.
Candidates should have a good understanding of the Android SDK, including Jetpack.
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON is required.
Candidates must have experience publishing multiple Android apps and beta distribution using Google Play Beta, Firebase, and/or AppCenter.
Strong architectural design and implementation capabilities, along with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, are necessary.
