Remote Senior Android Engineer - GP

Description:

• Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior Android Mobile App Developer to join their team, working remotely from Colombia or Costa Rica.
• The role involves designing and building applications for the Android platform while providing architectural leadership to the team and clients.
• The developer will collaborate with an agile team to build, maintain, and optimize client applications.
• Responsibilities include mentoring fellow developers and working closely with UI/UX design, product ownership, and back-end teams.
• Proficient English communication skills are required, along with good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of mobile application development experience.
• A minimum of 4+ years of native Android app development experience using Java and/or Kotlin is necessary.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is required.
• A strong understanding of common architectural patterns, including MVVM, is essential.
• Candidates should have a good understanding of the Android SDK, including Jetpack.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON is required.
• Candidates must have experience publishing multiple Android apps and beta distribution using Google Play Beta, Firebase, and/or AppCenter.
• Strong architectural design and implementation capabilities, along with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, are necessary.
