Quora is a remote-first company, allowing this position to be performed remotely from multiple countries around the world.
The role is for a Senior Android Engineer to work on the Poe product, which is a platform for chatting and building with various AI language models.
The engineer will design, develop, and maintain the Poe Android app, collaborating with the product team to build new user features and create a scalable mobile architecture.
Responsibilities include working with a small team of mobile engineers, building user-facing features, creating tools for rapid development, and enhancing the overall user experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must be available for meetings and communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
A minimum of 6 years of full-time experience in Android development is required.
Expertise in Java and/or Kotlin, Android frameworks, and mobile engineering best practices is essential.
A strong creative mindset for designing simple yet powerful user experiences is necessary.
High attention to detail in development, including performance and UI, is required.
