Description:
VivSoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Administrator to serve as the primary technical support resource for one or more critical applications.
This role is responsible for managing application environments to ensure secure, stable, and high-performing operations.
The Senior Application Administrator will work closely with server and database administrators while maintaining segregation of duties and playing a key role in the full lifecycle of application support.
Responsibilities include serving as the lead technical expert for assigned applications in both pre-production and production environments, installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining application software, patches, and third-party integrations.
The role also involves providing technical support, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
The Senior Application Administrator will support infrastructure initiatives such as data center migrations and network/firewall configurations.
Experience in triaging ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets and incident management is required.
The position includes managing and supporting application interfaces and APIs to ensure secure and reliable integration.
Assisting with code release and deployment processes, including automation and rollback strategies, is part of the job.
The administrator will implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), ensuring compliance documentation is up to date.
Researching and resolving cybersecurity vulnerabilities identified through routine scanning is also a responsibility.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support organizational transformation initiatives is expected.
Requirements:
A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant technical experience supporting enterprise applications is required.
A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary; however, four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Candidates must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority is required.
A DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II is necessary.
A Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification is required.
Experience with application security, vulnerability remediation, and STIG/SRG compliance is essential.
Familiarity with network configurations, APIs, and data integration processes is required.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills are necessary for this role.
