Description:
The Senior Application Architect will be responsible for overseeing four teams of developers and six applications that utilize a mix of front-end, back-end, and ETL technologies.
This role requires hands-on technical expertise in modern Angular and React front-end frameworks, with NodeJS and AWS for the backend.
The candidate will implement proof of concept solutions based on customer requirements and influence future product releases through insights gained from customer engagements.
The architect will present challenges, solutions, and guidance to senior customer technical and business decision-makers, executives, and internal engineering staff.
Strong software engineering and architectural knowledge, particularly in building cloud solutions, is essential.
The candidate will help sprint teams understand and prioritize customer requirements and feedback for product feature implementation and improvement.
Exceptional collaboration with cross-functional groups, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, effectively interfacing with employees and customers at all levels.
As a thought leader, the candidate must have a deep understanding of best practices and strategies for web application development in the AWS cloud.
Proven ability to lead the development and delivery of required contract software products on schedule is required.
The candidate will also drive the adoption of Agile and Scrum practices within project teams.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree and at least four years of experience leading and architecting all phases of the agile software development life cycle are required.
The candidate must have over eight years of progressive experience as a developer, senior developer, or lead developer, specifically in building and architecting large-scale enterprise applications using JavaScript or Python.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with attention to detail.
The candidate must effectively communicate with management, peers, and customers while demonstrating sound judgment and reasoning skills.
Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) is required.
The candidate must successfully pass a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust designation.
Experience in an Agile environment, leading agile sprint teams, and using agile collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) is necessary.
The candidate should demonstrate the ability to diagnose business problems and support the development of product roadmaps and timelines for implementation.
The ability to analyze complex data and business operations, understand user needs, and create requirement documentation is required.
Verifiable experience in architecting applications, systems, or products using agile and iterative practices is essential.
The candidate must exercise critical and rational thinking to identify alternate solutions and document them for stakeholder discussions.
Experience in documenting complex technical and business problems in a simple and intuitive manner is required.
Hands-on implementation experience with modern technology stacks like React, Node.js, Angular, AWS, Python, MySQL, and PostgreSQL is necessary.
A demonstrated appetite for active learning, embracing change, and mentoring others in the organization is required.
