Platinum Technologies is a Northern Virginia based integrated solutions firm specializing in Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Digital Services to the Public Sector.
The company seeks a Senior Application Developer to join their team for a remote opportunity.
The candidate must reside in the United States.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications within Microsoft Azure and M365 environments.
The role involves performing system engineering, integration, and deployment under the guidance of OCIO.
The developer will lead the translation of business needs into technical solutions, including risk analysis and mitigation.
The position requires developing secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-native applications.
Compliance with ITA ITSM standards, cybersecurity policies, and governance frameworks is essential.
The developer will oversee and manage software projects, including project planning, milestone tracking, and Agile development.
Building and optimizing Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, is part of the job.
The role includes working with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize existing applications.
Supporting quality assurance, testing, and deployment processes to enhance software reliability is required.
Following DevSecOps best practices and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools is expected.

Requirements:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and maintaining custom applications within Microsoft Azure and M365 is required.
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and API Management, is necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 development, including SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), is required.
The candidate must be skilled in software development languages, including C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and PowerShell.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools is essential.
Knowledge of REST APIs, Graph API, and Azure Service Bus for enterprise-level integration is required.
A strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including RBAC, IAM, and secure coding principles, is necessary.
Experience working in Agile environments, using Scrum or Kanban methodologies, is required.

The position offers a salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 a year.
