Remote Senior Application Developer

Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to contribute to the modernization of key public sector systems, such as estimation processes, administrative records modules, sampling, and quality metrics.
• This position involves preparing applications for cloud migration to AWS and contributing to critical public sector projects.
• The role is fully remote.
• The project supports the Census, and the candidate will undergo a Public Trust clearance process, which takes about 4 weeks.
• The candidate cannot start until the clearance is completed, so this is not suitable for those seeking immediate employment.
• Prior Census experience can expedite the clearance process.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in Python development, with a strong understanding of software design best practices.
• The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in C# development, focusing on scalable and robust applications.
• The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in PL/SQL, with a focus on database management and optimization.
• The candidate must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture and migration strategies.
• Familiarity with C# is needed as the role involves migrating a legacy system developed in C#.
• Expertise in software architecture, development, and producing technical documentation is required.
