Description:
We are seeking a skilled ERP Consultant to lead a strategic project focused on streamlining and harmonizing our business processes using our current ERP systems.
The consultant will be responsible for optimizing workflows, consolidating disparate systems, and ensuring consistency across all departments.
This role involves overseeing the project from initiation to go-live and aligning the ERP solution with our organizational goal of improving efficiency, reducing redundancy, and ensuring data accuracy.
The consultant will lead the end-to-end implementation of the ERP system, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational needs.
Responsibilities include configuring and customizing the ERP software according to business requirements, including workflows, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces.
The consultant will collaborate with internal teams to ensure the ERP system integrates seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure and third-party applications.
The role requires ensuring the system is scalable and flexible to accommodate future growth or changes in the organization’s needs.
The consultant will work with department leaders and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements.
Conducting thorough needs assessments and gap analysis to identify opportunities for business process improvements through ERP functionalities is essential.
The consultant will translate business needs into ERP system specifications, ensuring clear communication between technical teams and business users.
Developing detailed project plans for ERP implementations, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and budget oversight is required.
The consultant will monitor project progress and manage changes in scope, budget, or schedule to keep the project on track.
Coordination with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, HR, and operations, is necessary to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Regular project updates to senior leadership, highlighting milestones, risks, and next steps will be provided.
The consultant will collaborate with IT teams to design and execute data integration plans that synchronize ERP data with other internal systems.
Ensuring proper testing and validation of data before going live is crucial.
The consultant will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting any issues or bugs, and working with development teams to ensure timely resolution is part of the role.
The consultant will ensure that the ERP system meets performance standards and is free of errors before deployment.
Developing training materials and delivering workshops to help end-users understand and utilize the ERP system effectively is required.
Providing hands-on training to key users across various departments will ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
Acting as a change agent by promoting best practices and new processes enabled by the ERP system is expected.
Ongoing support during and after go-live, addressing user queries and troubleshooting issues as needed will be provided.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with major ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and NetSuite is required.
Understanding of ERP modules such as Financials, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Procurement, HR, and Payroll is necessary.
Experience with middleware tools such as Workato is essential.
Building and maintaining integrations between ERP systems and other enterprise applications is required.
Experience in working with APIs, especially RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for real-time communication between systems is necessary.
The ability to develop, configure, and troubleshoot API connections between ERP and external systems is required.
Experience with data exchange formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, and EDI is essential.
Experience in data mapping and transformation, handling large datasets, and ensuring data accuracy when migrating data between systems is necessary.
Knowledge of ETL tools and processes for data movement across systems is required.
Proficiency with SQL for querying and manipulating data in relational databases is essential.
Understanding of database structures and how data is stored and retrieved in ERP systems to support automation and reporting needs is necessary.
Experience in ERP system configuration to enable and support automations is required.
Knowledge of ERP customization to meet specific business requirements is essential.
Experience in developing and executing test plans including performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate integrations before deployment is necessary.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, or other industry-specific compliance requirements is required.
A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a related field is necessary.
