Description:

The Senior Application Programmer position is a remote, full-time role focused on application development.
The responsibilities include designing, coding, compiling, testing, debugging, and documenting new and existing web applications.
The role involves maintenance and support of existing applications.
The programmer will monitor, review, and audit the performance of the customer-agency’s replacement software and implement performance improvements.
The position requires providing technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to OTS, Customer-Agency, and all project-related staff for all requested work.
Participation in team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies is essential.
The programmer will perform all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed.

Requirements:

Candidates must have expertise in ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, C#, and SQL Server (T-SQL).
A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in the application development field is required.
Desirable but not mandatory skills include experience with VueJS, Bootstrap, SSIS, SSRS Reports, IIS, Distributed Design Systems (SOA/Microservices), DevOps Practices (CI/CD), JIRA, Git Source Control, and Frontend JavaScript Development.
Prior experience working with the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles is also considered a plus.
