Octopus by RTG is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join their team, which focuses on AI and tech growth for partner organizations.
The company is part of the Robusta Technology Group (RTG), known for delivering over 300 projects across Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
The role involves working with an Egypt-based grocery delivery startup that has rapidly expanded since its founding in 2017, now offering thousands of daily essentials with a tech-driven supply chain.
The Senior Application Security Engineer will execute and advance application security efforts through hands-on assessments, process improvements, secure development enablement, and collaboration across functions.
Responsibilities include contributing to the application security program, enforcing secure coding practices, conducting threat modeling sessions, and performing application security testing.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2-5 years of experience in Application Security.
A Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in cyber security, information security, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field is required.
Core knowledge and skills should include Web Application Penetration Testing (WAPT), Mobile Application Penetration Testing (MAPT), Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC), Threat Modelling, Secure Source Code Review (SSCR), and SecDevOps.
Preferred certifications include EC-Council certifications, INE Security certifications, The SecOps Group certifications, GIAC certifications, Offensive Security certifications, Practical DevSecOps certifications, and Mile2 certifications.
