PeopleFun is an award-winning creator of mobile games, part of AppLovin, with a focus on collaboration, creativity, and fun.
The company is seeking a Senior Art Engineer to join the Wordscapes Solitaire game team.
The role involves collaborating with the Art Director and product stakeholders to implement UI, animations, and VFX within the Unity Engine.
Responsibilities include developing art pipelines, optimizing art assets, creating shaders and particle effects, and debugging visual issues.
The candidate will work closely with the art team to ensure adherence to technical specifications and project constraints.
The position requires maintaining documentation for technical processes and staying updated with the latest tools and technologies.
Candidates must reside in specific states including California, Colorado, Florida, and others.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist, Animator, or VFX artist in mobile gaming or related fields.
A minimum of 2+ years of Unity scripting and tools experience is required.
Solid experience in delivering high-quality visuals while meeting memory and performance targets is essential.
Proficiency in artistic fundamentals, including composition, color theory, and lighting for mobile platforms is necessary.
High proficiency with the Unity editor and common asset features is required.
Expert knowledge in setting up UI in Unity, particularly the Canvas system, is needed.
Candidates should have proficiency in real-time particle effects, code-based animation, and UI asset integration.
Strong decision-making skills to balance artistic vision and technical execution are important.
Experience across all production stages, from concept development to final implementation, is required.
Proficiency in Photoshop and familiarity with design tools like Figma is necessary.
A solid understanding of art content creation, asset pipelines, and optimization for Unity mobile is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Strong proficiency in shader development, visual effects, lighting, and rendering techniques is required.
A deep understanding of optimizing art assets for mobile platforms, including memory management and performance profiling, is necessary.

The expected base pay range for this position is $110,000-$150,000, based on market location and job-related knowledge.
Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation.
