Remote Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Description:

• The Senior AWS DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable software services in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams.
• They will assess client needs and recommend technology solutions for building and deploying complex and scalable cloud-based solutions.
• The engineer will execute Cloud engineering tasks within migration sprint cycles aligned with best practices and templates within a customer project team.
• Building new customer cloud solutions using cloud-native components and extending business value by making technical decisions impacting project success.
• Utilizing foundational architecture and components to build automated cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and supporting services frameworks.
• Presenting architecture to stakeholders and briefing senior leadership and end-users on technology selections, best practices, and benefits.
• Enabling major DevOps projects for successful production state and providing technical expertise to resolve complex technical issues.
• Leading critical deployments, conducting technical root cause analysis, and managing the production change approval process.

Requirements:

• Strong technical expertise with experience on complex projects from inception to delivery to deliver automated, secure, and robust cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and exposure to large-scale system design.
• Proficiency in technical tooling such as Terraform, Git/Version Control, and specialty areas like Landing Zone, Networking, Identity Foundation, Security, CI/CD Pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe, GxP/ISO27001, JIRA/Confluence, and preferred coding languages like HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL), JSON, Typescript, and Go.
• Preferred certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and others like AWS Certified Developer, Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, among others.
• Thorough understanding of AWS IAM roles, profiles, and permission sets, as well as knowledge and usage of GitHub repositories, Connectors, Webhooks.
• Demonstrable experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, automated code testing, and reviews.
• Knowledge of Open Policy Agent, Lacework Query Language would be a bonus.
