Description:

Nearform is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer for a remote position based in Italy.
The role involves developing infrastructure to support cloud-based applications, creating deployment architecture and continuous delivery pipelines, designing high-availability approaches, and implementing monitoring architecture including dashboards, alerts, and escalations.
The candidate will work closely with clients to translate complex business requirements into innovative digital products.
The position requires collaboration with distributed teams and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build secure, high-performance applications.

Requirements:

Proficient communication in English, both oral and written, is essential.
Experience delivering at an enterprise level and in a remote agile environment is required.
The candidate should have experience managing and automating complex platforms/applications on AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a strong preference for AWS.
Experience working with containers and container orchestration, ideally including Kubernetes (K8s), is necessary.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code technology, ideally with Terraform or CloudFormation, is required.
Experience with continuous integration (CI) and building continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions or Jenkins, is essential.
Proficiency in scripting and automating processes using Python is required.
Data storage experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies is necessary.
A solid understanding of observability practices across the stack is required.
Strong understanding of security best practices across CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and microservices is essential.
The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is required.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and drive technical discussions in client-facing roles are necessary.
