Remote Senior AWS Engineer

Description:

• The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team to plan, implement, and support PEXA initiatives across multi-AZ and multi-region AWS.
• The role focuses on ensuring the security, resilience, and predictability of services using automated and scalable solutions.
• Key accountabilities include contributing to the design and implementation of automated infrastructure systems, providing expert guidance to teams, and building and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
• The candidate will help set the technical vision for new product delivery and mentor intermediate and junior AWS Engineers.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudFront, Lambda, and KMS.
• Experience in creating AWS infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform is required.
• Solid skills in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Node.js are necessary.
• A good understanding of modern SDLC, CI/CD, and automated build and deployment processes is essential.
• Extensive experience in DevOps or cloud-based roles is required, along with experience delivering enterprise-grade infrastructure systems.
• Candidates should have experience collaborating with different parts of the business to deliver programs of work.
• A strong understanding of digital and cloud technologies and their impact on organizations is necessary.
• Knowledge of building and deploying containerized solutions, preferably with Kubernetes, is required.
