Description:
Trility Consulting is seeking a Senior Azure Data Consultant with experience in implementing Microsoft Fabric to lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives.
The role involves collaborating with clients to test Fabric’s performance against on-premise systems and building robust data solutions.
Responsibilities include leading the implementation and testing of Microsoft Fabric, evaluating ETL processes, and optimizing query performance.
The consultant will design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to move data from enterprise systems to a central warehouse.
The position requires evaluating and executing SQL queries to test performance improvements in Fabric versus on-premise systems.
The consultant will design and document data architectures involving data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud databases.
Best practices in ETL development, data modeling, and performance optimization must be applied.
Collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions is essential.
The consultant must ensure data governance, security, and compliance best practices are upheld in cloud-based environments.
The role operates in an agile environment, providing technical leadership and driving project success.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working with Azure Data Services, including Fabric, ADF, Databricks, and Synapse.
Hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Fabric in a production environment is required.
A strong background in ETL development, particularly using Azure Data Factory, is necessary.
Candidates should have the ability to lead discussions and provide oversight on Data Model design across multiple departments and teams.
Strong data modeling skills, including experience with Dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Kimball methodologies, are essential.
A deep understanding of cloud architecture, including data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud databases, is required.
Proficiency in SQL for data transformation and performance tuning is necessary.
Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as Databricks, Fabric, or Synapse is required.
Strong business analysis skills to gather requirements and align technical solutions with business goals are essential.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
Candidates must reside within the United States and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
