Description:
The Azure Infrastructure Release Engineer is responsible for managing the deployment, release, and ongoing support of cloud infrastructure in Azure.
This role involves working closely with development, operations, and DevOps teams to ensure that software and services are released smoothly into production environments.
Key responsibilities include developing automated pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, ARM templates, Terraform, or PowerShell to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure.
The engineer will build and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the release process for infrastructure updates and applications.
Ensuring that the infrastructure is optimized for performance, scalability, and security is essential, utilizing monitoring systems like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
The role includes planning and coordinating the release of cloud infrastructure updates, managing release schedules, version control, and rollback strategies in case of failure.
Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams is necessary to ensure that infrastructure updates align with application requirements and organizational policies.
The engineer will address issues related to infrastructure releases, troubleshoot failures, and provide ongoing support for Azure environments.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, security best practices, and company policies regarding data protection, access control, and auditing is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in Azure technologies, with a mandatory certification in Azure.
Proficiency in Azure services, including virtual networks, storage, compute, and security features is required.
Experience with automation and scripting tools like PowerShell, ARM templates, Terraform, and Ansible to automate infrastructure management is essential.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or other similar tools for automating build and release processes is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills are required to diagnose issues with cloud infrastructure and services.
Excellent communication skills are needed to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams like development and operations.
