Description:

• Astronomer is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to work on their Developer Experience initiative, focusing on managing Apache Airflow at scale.
• The role involves contributing to the design, development, and vision of onboarding experiences and developer tools like Cloud IDE and Cloud CLI.
• The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and enhance platform usability, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with Golang and APIs, with a strong focus on building performant, scalable, and reliable backend systems.
• 5+ years of engineering experience is required, along with the ability to communicate technical concepts through architectural diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as experience in fast-paced startup environments and software development best practices.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with Python, Kubernetes, SaaS platforms, Postgres or other relational databases, APIs for git providers, and building developer tools like IDEs or CLIs.
