Description:
Deel is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer proficient in Node.js and TypeScript to join their global team dedicated to facilitating global hiring processes for businesses.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA's to develop new features, APIs, and enhance existing products.
Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, providing input throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS), and serverless app architecture on AWS.
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer and the ability to offer advice on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
Desired qualities include excelling in application design, coding, testing, and maintenance, thriving in a collaborative remote-first work culture, embracing independence while excelling in a team setting, and effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The role also involves taking a business-focused approach to software development, demonstrating genuine care for customers, and delivering high-value outcomes.
Additional brownie points are awarded for experience with SaaS products on major cloud vendors, working in distributed teams, and knowledge of FinTech.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax.
In-depth understanding of SQL, NoSQL (especially PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize), AWS Services (S3, EKS, SNS, SQS), and serverless app architecture on AWS.
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Ability to advise on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
