The company is seeking a skilled Senior Back-End Engineer to maintain and enhance their podcast platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience, particularly with Python, Django, and task queue systems like Celery.
Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services for podcast ingestion, metadata management, and distribution.
The engineer will work with technologies such as Python, Django, Celery, Redis, and Postgres to build scalable and reliable systems.
The role involves designing efficient data storage and retrieval solutions using PostgreSQL and improving task processing workflows using Celery and Redis.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, content, DevOps) is essential to enhance system performance and reliability.
The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to podcast processing, storage, and delivery while writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Python and experience with Django (or similar web frameworks) is required.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases) is necessary.
Experience with Celery for asynchronous task processing is essential.
Familiarity with Redis for caching and task queue management is required.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend service architecture is necessary.
The candidate must have the ability to debug and optimize performance bottlenecks.
