Description:

  • As a Senior Back-End Software Engineer at Bask, you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to build and design the software infrastructure for telehealth.
  • The company is looking to expand its software engineering team with individuals who possess a deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit.
  • The serverless platform is built using AWS Lambda, Node.js, Next.js, Drizzle, and SST, creating a powerful multi-tenant application.
  • Fluency in mySQL, Typescript, and Javascript is essential.
  • You will design, build, and implement new services through the full development cycle, writing elegant, well-tested code in a modern technology stack.
  • Your responsibilities will include building libraries and frameworks to enhance efficiency and deliver value to users.
  • You will collaborate closely with the product team, making architecture and design decisions, participating in stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives, and contributing to the engineering culture focused on high-impact experiences.
  • As an engineering generalist, you will develop servers and databases, integrate APIs, and take end-to-end ownership across the full development lifecycle.
  • You will have the opportunity to scale and automate existing services while also innovating new solutions, contributing to product strategy and development.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate is a full-stack generalist with experience in taking a product from 0 to 1.
  • Candidates should be entrepreneurial, willing to roll up their sleeves, and passionate about disrupting the healthcare industry.
  • Strong back-end skills are required, particularly in Drizzle, MySQL, Node, and AWS Lambda.
  • Front-end skills in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Javascript are also necessary.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and are comfortable owning entire projects or large areas of the codebase.
  • Strong experience in building paid products and services is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to articulate technical problems, constraints, and timelines clearly.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment.
