Remote Senior Back-End/DevOps Engineer

• The Senior Back-End Engineer will work with Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, and various GCP Services.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining back-end systems that power AKKO's products.
• The role requires collaboration with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Daily tasks involve implementing DevOps practices, optimizing applications, writing clean code, troubleshooting, and managing cloud infrastructure.
• The engineer will also perform code reviews, ensure security and data protection, automate infrastructure management, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in back-end and DevOps engineering, preferably in a startup environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in Python/Flask, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Netlify, Postman, and Pytest is essential.
• Expertise in DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions is necessary.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is important.
• Strong experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling is needed.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently while collaborating across functions are necessary.
• Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects and familiarity with agile methodologies is preferred.
