The Senior Back-End Engineer will work with Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, and various GCP Services.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining back-end systems that power AKKO's products.
The role requires collaboration with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Daily tasks involve implementing DevOps practices, optimizing applications, writing clean code, troubleshooting, and managing cloud infrastructure.
The engineer will also perform code reviews, ensure security and data protection, automate infrastructure management, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:

A minimum of 6 years of experience in back-end and DevOps engineering, preferably in a startup environment.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proficiency in Python/Flask, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Netlify, Postman, and Pytest is essential.
Expertise in DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions is necessary.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is important.
Strong experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling is needed.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently while collaborating across functions are necessary.
Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects and familiarity with agile methodologies is preferred.
