Description:

  • Productive Edge is a leading digital transformation consulting firm specializing in innovative solutions for healthcare, wellness, and insurance clients.
  • The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend AEM Developer to join their dynamic team.
  • The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and integrations within the AEM platform.
  • The developer will collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, performance-driven solutions.
  • This position is limited to residents in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, or Argentina only and is fully remote.
  • The role is expected to be a long-term contract with 40 hours per week for the first 2-3 months, with additional fractional work to follow.
  • Key responsibilities include developing backend components, designing custom AEM components, integrating AEM with external systems, optimizing backend performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical leadership.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in backend development, focusing on Java and related technologies.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), specifically with AEM 6.x or later versions, is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of AEM architecture, including Sling, OSGi, JCR, and DAM, is essential.
  • Experience with AEM customization, including building custom components, services, and workflows, is required.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrating AEM with third-party systems is needed.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is important.
  • A solid understanding of security best practices in web application development is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team are required.
  • A B2 or better English level is mandatory.
