Apptegy is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their high-performing team and contribute to the growth of the company.
The role involves building platforms using Ruby on Rails, with a focus on creating impactful solutions.
Responsibilities include designing feature and platform architecture, writing clean and efficient code, and creating comprehensive tests.
Candidates should have extensive experience with top-tier database systems, preferably PostgreSQL.
The position requires collaboration with other software engineers, product managers, and engineering leadership.
The developer will engage in architectural discussions and provide guidance on critical architectural decisions.
Clear documentation in partnership with Product and Tech Ops teams is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or 5+ years of experience in building successful products and platforms without a technical degree.
Candidates must have proven understanding and hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
A strong academic and professional track record of success is required.
Experience in decision-making, architecture, and delivering robust backend features is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage their time efficiently and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills are necessary, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly in a professional environment.
Experience in presenting and discussing technical concepts with stakeholders is required.
